Indigo of history, drawn by light and time.
SEIRAN is an apparel brand built on a single blue — the deep indigo of the cyanotype, a nineteenth-century photographic process.
Each garment carries an image drawn from the Japanese classics, printed onto fabric by sunlight itself. The cloth is hand-coated, exposed beneath the sun, and developed in water — reborn as seiran, a quiet blue that holds history within it.
No two pieces are ever the same. The light of a single day, the temperature of the water, the weave of the cloth: each leaves its trace.
The refinement of Japanese classical art, carried into what we wear today. Within the depth of indigo, the distance between past and present quietly dissolves.
A garment is not the end, but a place where history and the present are joined by a single, shared blue.
