The deep blue of cyanotype, a 19th-century photographic process, and the blue of aizuri-e—the indigo woodblock prints that Hokusai used for his Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji—share the same pigment: Prussian Blue.

Though separated by time, culture, and technique, these two traditions meet through a single color. SEIRAN stands upon that lineage.

Each piece begins with a carefully selected public-domain masterpiece. Every image is hand-coated, exposed to light, developed in water, and reborn on fabric as seiran—a deep blue that carries history within it.
